Required application for permission to install signage, patio, or above/inground pool. As part of the permit process, staff must review your plans to ensure they comply with Municipal By-laws and other applicable law. For a copy of the Sign By-law, please email us.
Some signs require an Application for a Permit to Construct or Demolish and must comply with the Ontario Building Code. These signs are typically greater than 10m², taller than 7.5m, and/or 115kg or greater. For additional information, contact Building Services.
Private backyard pools or spas offered for rent or other business activities, such as swimming lessons, are subject to and require compliance with the Public Pools Regulation (O. Reg 565). Owners intending to operate a residential pool for rentals or other business activities are required to notify Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit at 1-866-888-4577 ext. 5006 or inspections@hkpr.on.ca
